Newport News – August 2011 – DMG Federal, an information
technology (IT) consulting firm specializing in developing business
intelligence and performance optimization solutions for Federal government
agencies, has been awarded the 8(a) STARS II contract vehicle by the General
Services Administration. DMG is in the process of leveraging this contract to
assist our current and future Federal clients in meeting their organizational
needs in a cost-effective manner.
The 8(a) STARS II Government Wide Acquisition Contract
(GWAC) is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing IT
services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. The 8(a)
STARS II program is reserved exclusively for qualifying certified 8(a) small
business concerns as the prime contractors per federal government regulations.
8(a) STARS II features include a multiple award IDIQ, a $10 Billion program
ceiling, and a five-year contract with one five-year option.
The GWAC offers Federal agencies pre-approved Government rates
for resources and services throughout the United States. Federal contracting
departments are able to achieve time and cost savings by using an established,
proven contract vehicle. DMG benefits include shortened procurement lead time
and company of other elite, skilled IT small businesses.
