Internal Revenue Service Business Intelligence Core Competency Center
The BICCC was created to provide a consolidated enterprise-wide business intelligence platform to serve the reporting requirements for all projects within the IRS. This initiative includes responsibility for migrating existing projects from disparate reporting technologies and environments to a centralized server farm to realize IRS savings from server acquisitions, operations, software licensing and maintenance costs.
DMG led the IRS BICCC’s effort to consolidate all agency-wide reporting requirements on an enterprise system capable of serving the mission-critical needs of all departments and projects by providing project management, technical expertise and supplemental staffing following the IRS’s Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) project management methodologies to insure compliance with all IRS mandates, standards and security guidelines.

DMG migrated all Library of Congress reports and analytics from a mainframe financial system to Crystal Enterprise solution. This initial report development phase led into a second phase to combine roughly six (6) million rows of data from several sources into a single Oracle database. The final phase allowed the team to design and develop a data warehouse capability to provide long-term storage of historic financial data.
DMG leveraged the existing IRS in-house databases and BI solutions to create data interrogation routines to identify tax returns that had a high probability of under reporting. The team utilized PMBOK-based Project Management practices to perform extensive requirements analysis and generation used to develop the project schedule and delivery milestones. |

National Institute of Standards and Technology
The National Institute of Standards and Technology, having recently invested in Business Intelligence (BI) software, required instructor-led and e-learning BI software training for students of varying skill levels.
DMG provided multiple training sessions for SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, Universe Design, and server administration. These tasks involved supporting BusinessObjects Enterprise users and groups so they could access corporate data through the web portal in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. |

United States Army AKIMA
Akima was performing on a Field Manual (FM) conversion project for the U.S. Army, and required assistance in completing the tasks within the given timeframe. FMs are used by soldiers to perform a variety of tasks, from configuring drop and landing zones to setting up military hospitals to packaging equipment to be parachuted to soldiers on the ground.
DMG converted old scanned, non-classified FMs from Adobe PDF format to Microsoft Word, while maintaining the original formatting, enabling the Army to have greater control over document appearance and dispersal. |

United States Army Joint Training Counter IED Operations Integration Center (JTCOIC)
The Joint Training Counter IED Operations Integration Center (JTCOIC) replicates real-world resources and capabilities provide to forces deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan. Due to the classified nature of their work, an Access Control System (ACS) and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) were required.
DMG teamed with highly respected and skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) organizations to complete the ACS and IDS equipment installation, testing, and certification (IT&C). Team DMG, comprised of SCIF Electronics, Securityhunter, and Communications Technologies, provided IDS, ACS, and Help Desk Capability (HDC) deliverables in support of the Army’s life-saving training initiatives. |

United States Army Tank Command
The U.S. Army’s Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is responsible for maintaining an equipment readiness web page with data provided from many different departments. They required a contractor to provide a solution which would allow them to dynamically manage the information.
DMG developed an automated equipment readiness dashboard using SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius and Web 2.0 technologies. The solution provided the users with an interactive and easy-to-use client interface and the ability to access data from various departments automatically using externally managed web services. |

United States Coast Guard
The Coast Guard’s Configuration and Technical Data Management Office (CG-444) is the program office for Configuration and Technical Data Management policy throughout the Coast Guard. CG-444 is also serving as co-lead for a integrated product team (IPT) that is establishing enterprise policy and processes for Coast Guard Requirements. DMG Federal is supporting the development of an enterprise requirements management processes related to life cycle management of USCG architecture, programs, assets, people, and systems. Tasks include requirements management process definition/documentation and standardization of the traceability within a requirements hierarchy. Requirement templates definition, baseline establishment processes, and related policy and process support, as well as process and information technology engineering analysis, management and development. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) required a contractor to develop a new reporting solution as a replacement their legacy Library of Congress’ Financial Reporting System. United States Consumer Product Safety Commission
To advise consumers of recalls, safety features, and other relevant information quickly, CPSC realized the need to update its Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and make information available to the public online immediately.
DMG provided Project Management services and support to complete the IT Modernization Investment successfully. We coordinated with CPSC personnel to determine, develop, and document functional and technical requirements and alternate requirements analyses. Upon completion of the contract, CPSC was able to deliver timely product safety information online. |

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety Inspection Services (FSIS) required a contractor to develop a robust Enterprise Reporting Solution as a replacement for their inadequate stand-alone reporting system and data warehouse.
DMG provided USDA with an SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise solution and revised data warehouse model. The solution serves as an integrated gateway to all corporate data, allowing employees to create their own customized reports, and access previously unrecognized organization data. |

A United States Department of Defense agency required a replacement for its end-of-life Travel Order software system. The Travel System Replacement Software solution needed to leverage Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software, use industry best practices, and be compliant with Joint Federal Travel Regulations.
DMG was able to deliver and maintain the TSR-SW solution quickly and cost-effectively. Additionally, our team delivered a Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Warehouse (DW) capability to capture historical data from the legacy and current systems in order to provide the organization with near-real time data to facilitate and support timely and accurate decisions. |

The U.S. Department of State (State) Bureau of Public Diplomacy required a contractor to update the processes and technologies used within their program planning, budgeting, and management system. The new solution was required to provide performance-based budgeting and measure the impact of funding on mission-related performance.
DMG developed a Financial Performance Management System that supports program planning and budget execution (PPBE)-related performance-based budgeting as well as a Mission Activity Tracking System (MATS) that supports the PPBE application. The solution provides reporting and dashboard visualization to display the relationships among mission activity, budget, and performance metrics. |

United States Department of State GFMS
The U.S. Department of State required a subcontractor with expertise in database and report design, familiarity with the Momentum Financials Data Structure, and proven experience working within the Department. DMG assessed the functionality and data structure in the Department’s Global Financial Management System (GFMS), performed software analysis, and recommended commercially available software. DMG coordinated with GFMS stakeholders to review and reengineer several slow running reports. The final task involved providing recommendations for the next steps. |

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) required a contractor to develop a strategic Business Intelligence (BI) plan consisting of identification of systems integration points, report development methodology, data warehouse design, multi-layered system security, and BusinessObjects Universe and Dashboard development.
DMG delivered a new BI architecture allowing USMS to supports both its prisoner base dashboard and Jurisdictional Information System. The new architecture increased the efficiency of managing detainees, delivered better organizational insight through the introduction of more disparate data sources, and provided a foundational enterprise BI/Decision Support platform. |

United States Naval Academy
The United States Naval Academy (USNA) Information Technology Systems Division (ITSD) required a trusted and competent contractor that could provide support services for the Naval Academy Data Network (NADN) to ensure the network was operational and available to users 24 hours per day, seven (7) days a week, and 365 days per year (24/7/365).
DMG has achieved all of the contract goals and requirements, including keeping the network operational and available above 99.999%. USNA network support projects have included adding 30 new wireless access points to the library, a new Wireless Control System, and replacing older Virtual Private Network (VPN) and firewall systems with a Cisco solution. |

United States Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command
The Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC) required a contractor to provide technical and subject matter expert support for the development and implementation of the NCDOC Business Intelligence Culture (BIC), as well as the procurement, installation and configuration of SAP Business Objects Enterprise Software Suite.
DMG provided installation, configuration, testing, and delivery of dashboard visualization reporting capabilities in support of the NCDOC mission. Our team installed and configured the development and production SAP Business Objects Enterprise environments and developed customized dashboard views, extended flash based visualization capabilities, web-service, and integrated with current data warehouse technologies and data sources. |

United States Navy Military Sealift Command
The Navy Military Sealift Command’s (MSC) Hospital Ships Program needed to pinpoint and correct deficiencies in their existing disjointed system for supply chain tracking. MSC also required an analytical solution to analyze and improve their business practices.
DMG applied process improvement practices on MSC’s existing supply chain processes and procedures to create more effective and productive workflows. We then developed a data warehousing solution and implemented an IBM Cognos reporting and analytic system to track the entire data flow from requisition to payment. |
